Purpose of Our Policies

Policy Development and Review

All policies are:

  • Developed in line with national legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice standards (e.g. NICE, Skills for Care, SCIE).

  • Reviewed regularly or in response to legislative changes, inspection outcomes, or identified risk.

  • Accessible to all staff, commissioners, regulators, and – where relevant – to individuals using our services and their representatives.

  • Governance and Leadership: Compliance, auditing, management accountability

  • Care Delivery: Person-centred care, risk assessments, care planning

  • Health & Safety: Fire safety, infection prevention, COSHH, premises risk

  • Safeguarding: Adult and child safeguarding, whistleblowing, MCA & DoLS

  • Staffing and HR: Recruitment, supervision, training, disciplinary procedures

  • Clinical Practice (if applicable): Medication administration, clinical interventions

  • Published online for transparency and easy access by commissioners and stakeholders.

  • Available internally via staff systems and handbooks.

  • Presented during induction and reinforced through supervision and ongoing training.
